Changes to our Vacation Rental Platform
Why is Tripadvisor no longer managing Vacation Rental payments?
We’ve made the decision to change the way we service travellers seeking a Vacation Rental. We will no longer contract directly with homeowners or enable bookings on the Tripadvisor or Holiday Lettings platforms. Instead, we'll display rental properties brought to us by our booking partners where customers can click off to the partners’ sites to complete their booking.
Who should I contact for support?
Booked THROUGH the 31st October 2024:
- For owners and travelers looking for assistance with bookings made via Flipkey, Niumba, or Holiday Lettings before or on 31 October 2024, our Tripadvisor Customer Support team can be reached via https://www.tripadvisor.com/GeneralSupport.
Booked FROM the 1st November 2024:
- For owners and travelers looking for assistance with bookings made on or after 1 November 2024, please contact Vrbo at https://help.vrbo.com/.
How will I be notified if my booking is cancelled?
Emails have been sent to travelers with impacted bookings.
How were refunds processed?
Bookings were cancelled on the 12th of September 2024, and full refunds were processed back to the original form of payment.
My booking has been cancelled, can I connect with the owner?
The messaging tool within Manage my Booking will remain live until January 2025 so you can communicate with the owner. If you choose to communicate with the owner using the Messaging Tool or any other means, please note: The Tripadvisor Vacation Rental Companies (such as, but not limited to, Holiday Lettings, FlipKey and Niumba) and their affiliates will take no responsibility and assume no liability for any communications, payments, bookings, arrangements, agreements, or other interactions between you and the owner nor any disputes, damages, consequences, or problems that arise as a result. Any booking that the traveller makes with the owner will be a direct arrangement between you and the owner, which you make at your own risk. You will not receive any support from our group companies in managing such bookings. We no longer directly contract with home owners.
What should I do if someone sends me a link to book a vacation rental on Tripadvisor?
As Tripadvisor no longer offers direct booking for vacation rentals, please forward the details to book.safe@tripadvisor.com
