How do private rooms work? (for guests)
What is a private room?
-
A private room is a room which you can rent without renting the entire property. It could be a room in a private residence or in a vacation rental. Guests have their own room to sleep in, but share some common spaces such as a living room, kitchen and bathroom.
-
Private rooms can only be advertised by owners who have completed our internal validation checks. These require owners to provide us with a government issued ID and proof of their address. We perform these checks to prevent fraud and provide guests with peace of mind.
-
All stays booked online through the Holiday Lettings payment platform are covered by Payment Protection. This means that in the unlikely event that you are prevented or denied access to your private room when you arrive, we’ll offer a full refund for the stay. Look for the green Payment Protection stamp.
